Why I built this
I'm Elizabeth. A dumb phone is my primary phone. For the last three years I've used one every day, and I've been on Verizon the whole time, with no trouble activating my phones.
I tried the Light Phone 2 and found it slow and glitchy. I loved the Sunbeam Orchid and the Sunbeam F1 Pro. I used the Light Phone 2 for about a month, then the Orchid for a year and a half and the F1 Pro for another year and a half. I had to replace each Sunbeam after I dropped it. Now I'm waiting for my next phone, from dumb.co, to ship.
Choosing my next one, I couldn't find a single place that compared these phones honestly: which ones work on which US network, what they actually cost, and what you give up. So I built it.
Every spec on this site links to its source and shows the date it was last checked. Rankings come from a scoring formula you can read in full on How scoring works, and money never changes them.
